Sauna Furunäs
Parainen, Finland, 2023–2024
30 m2 sauna in the Baltic Sea archipelago. The client's intention was to build a building that maximally respects the ecology and cultural history of the site. The log-structured sauna building and terrace were delicately arranged in connection with the protected hazelnut grove and the foundation structure of the old archipelago grocery store, utilizing the potential of the vegetation and ruins to create a sheltered utility garden and a unique spatial whole.
